Apple A1382 Battery all-laptopbattery.com

TVs are expensive, and you might not want to commit to a large piece of tech, which is why portable projectors are a great alternative. Weighing just one pound, Anker's Nebula Capsule sets an impressive standard for portable projectors by packing strong image and sound quality into a soda can-sized piece of hardware. It might not be the smallest portable projector you can buy right now, but unlike other mini projectors that have limited connectivity options, the Nebula Capsule allows for many possible ways to project: HDMI, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and screen mirroring. It runs on Android 7.1 so you can directly download apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime to seamlessly display content, and it has an easy-to-use dedicated control app that turns your phone into a remote. If you hate the clutter and confusion of messing with various cords and inputs when you use a traditional projector, you'll like the delightfully wire-free convenience of the Nebula Capsule.

It projects pictures at a resolution of 854 x 480, a size of up to 100 inches, and a brightness of 100 lumens. Of course, larger projectors that boast better resolutions and project at 2,000 to 3,000 lumens have better image quality (and a heftier price tag), but the Nebula Capsule's specs are good for its size and price. I used it in bed to watch TV on my wall and ceiling, and the picture was clear and vibrant in both dim and completely dark environments. With a 360° 5w speaker, the projector's sound is also powerful for its size. It's loud and clear enough to comfortably fill a bedroom and serve a small group of viewers. Depending on your surroundings or room size, you might want to connect it to another speaker for amplification, but I found the strength was more than sufficient for private viewing in my room. The speaker's fan also never interfered with the sound experience — it kept the Nebula Capsule cool while staying quiet and unobtrusive. Its four-hour battery life should last continuously through multiple episodes or a couple movies. Utilizing the Quick Charge technology that has made Anker so effective and popular, the projector recharges quickly and can charge while in use.

There are inevitable compromises to be made for portability, but the Nebula Capsule takes any doubts about projection quality and battery life into stride and makes the best of its small size and light weight. Whether you're at home, traveling, or spending time outdoors, you can stay properly entertained for less than $300 with this small portable projector.Disclosure: This post is brought to you by the Insider Picks team. Samsung Electronics America, Inc., today announced its new SmartThings Tracker, a small, lightweight GPS tracking device connected through an LTE-M[1] network that can easily be attached to backpacks, a set of keys, pet collars and more. Now, people can quickly and more accurately keep track of their most valued items.

With SmartThings Tracker, it’s easier to locate a gym bag or backpack lost at school, a laptop case left in the airport lounge, or a pet that might have wandered too far from home. Items can be easily tracked in real time through Samsung’s Android and iOS compatible SmartThings app[2]. Family members can also use SmartThings Tracker to stay connected by sending a location notification to the SmartThings app that alerts the rest of the family of their whereabouts. And, since it is SmartThings-enabled, SmartThings Tracker can be used as an arrival sensor, triggering automations like a connected porch light turning on when the device is within range. “When it comes to connected living, we want to give people more meaningful experiences that apply to their everyday life,” said SK Kim, Senior Director, IoT Product Marketing at Samsung Electronics America. “By combining the coverage of nationwide carrier networks with the expansiveness of the SmartThings ecosystem, we’re helping families keep track of what matters most to them while also continuing to make it easy to control and manage their smart home, all in one device.”

Track in more places with LTE-M – LTE-M network technology provides a greater range of signal coverage over Bluetooth, allowing for better tracking accuracy when a SmartThings Tracker is indoors or below street level. Now, people can track and send location updates from more places. Real-time location updates – Family members can share location updates by simply pushing the SmartThings Tracker’s power button twice which sends a notification to the SmartThings app. The alert can only be seen by users with shared access. They can also check on an item’s whereabouts by using the Live Tracking feature in the SmartThings app to get minute-by-minute location tracking for up to 10 minutes. Use the SmartThings app for more than tracking – When a geo-fenced zone is set up in the app, SmartThings users will get an alert when a tracker enters or exits a zone, such as a pet leaving the backyard. The SmartThings Tracker can also act as a proximity sensor to trigger smart home automations, like lights turning on when someone gets close to home or the thermostat turning down when the car pulls out of the driveway. It is compatible with hundreds of Works With SmartThings devices, including smart lights, thermostats, security cameras and more. Designed for rain or shine – Ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, the SmartThings Tracker is designed for durability, with an IP68 water-resistance rating. The battery can also last up to a week on a single charge[4], depending on usage.

“We lead busy lives. The SmartThings Tracker will help you save time searching for items that aren’t always where you think you left them,” said Chris Penrose, President of IoT at AT&T. “Using our nationwide LTE-M network gives you the ability to track and locate your devices just about anywhere. And as a global leader in Internet of Things solutions, we’re proud to be the first carrier to offer the SmartThings Tracker in the U.S.” SmartThings Tracker retails for $99 with AT&T service included for the first 12 months at no additional charge. After the first 12 months pricing for AT&T service is $5 a month or $50 per year[5]. It is available starting September 14 on Samsung.com, select AT&T stores and other major retailers nationwide.HP has initiated a voluntarily recall of a number of laptop batteries. These batteries are used inside various Envy, ProBook and ZBook notebooks over the past two years due to fire and burn hazards. The manufacturer claims that it had received eight reports of battery packs overheating, melting, or charring. In total, HP intends to recall 50,000 batteries.

The affected battery packs were made in China and were shipped with select HP ProBook 640/645 and 650/655, HP x360 310 G2, HP Envy m6, HP Pavilion x360, HP 11, HP ZBook 17 and HP ZBook Studio G3 notebooks. The laptops were available worldwide from various sellers from December 2015 through December 2017. During the same period, the batteries were also supplied as accessories. Some of these laptops come with user removable batteries, whereas the other feature integrated ones. HP does not provide any exact model numbers of laptops or battery packs that are affected but advises customers who own a potentially affected notebook to visit an appropriate website and download a special utility (basic version, full version) that automatically checks whether or not a particular battery is potentially unsafe.

If the HP battery program validation utility finds that the accumulator in use needs to be replaced, it will recommend to update system’s BIOS and enable “Battery Safety Mode” that prevents it from charging. After that, customers should contact HP and order a new battery that will be sent to them free of charge. For laptops with internal batteries, HP will also provide a technician to switch them.Battery recalls are not uncommon these days. This is the second laptop battery recall by HP in the last 12 months. In January 2017, the company recalled 100,000 units. Since in many cases the batteries that explode or catch fire cause injury and/or property damage, HP is taking the issue with very seriously and is trying to avoid any incidents.Microsoft has once again claimed that using its Edge web browser will make your laptop’s battery last longer than if you were using Google Chrome or Firefox. The company has made the claim after releasing the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, which includes an updated version of Edge.Microsoft has released a video showing the test, which you can view below. It did something similar last year where, once again, its Edge browser beat the competition.
